How to Delete Your Data
Scale Montage allows you to delete your data in several ways. We commit to processing any deletion request within a maximum of 30 days.
1. Disconnect a Social Media Account
To delete data associated with a specific social media account:
- Log in to your Scale Montage account
- Go to the Social Accounts page
- Click the Disconnect button next to the relevant account
This action immediately deletes:
- Encrypted OAuth access tokens associated with the account
- Metrics and analytics collected for this account
- Unpublished scheduled posts for this account
2. Delete Your Scale Montage Account
To request complete deletion of your account and all associated data, send an email to contact@scalemontage.com with the subject "Account Deletion".
Complete deletion includes:
- Your user account and personal information
- All videos uploaded to the platform
- All social media connections and their tokens
- Publication and scheduling history
- All associated analytics data
- Collected comments and sentiment data
Deletion is completed within a maximum of 30 days of receiving your request. A confirmation email will be sent once the deletion is complete.
3. Revocation from a Third-Party Platform
If you revoke Scale Montage's access directly from a third-party platform's settings, we automatically delete the associated data upon receiving the notification:
Facebook / Instagram
Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites > Scale Montage > Remove. Meta sends us a deauthorization callback and we automatically delete all data associated with your Facebook/Instagram account.
TikTok
TikTok Settings > Security > Manage App Permissions > Scale Montage > Remove. We delete the associated data upon the next failed access attempt.
Google / YouTube
Google Account > Security > Third-party apps with account access > Scale Montage > Remove Access. We delete the associated data upon the next failed access attempt.
4. Data We Cannot Delete
Please note that deleting your data on Scale Montage does not affect:
- Content already published on third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook) — this content remains on those platforms and must be deleted directly there
- Data retained by the third-party platforms themselves
- Data we are legally required to retain (billing data, security logs)
5. Contact
